Congratulations to Kevin de Young for winning a Sandy Stewart Undergraduate Research Fellowship! This fellowship will support his honors thesis work on stalk elongation in Caulobacter.

As part of his ASM Undergraduate Research Fellowship, Michael presented a poster at the ASM Microbe meeting in Boston. His research focused on the relationship between MreB and Caulobacter stalk synthesis. This conference was attended by more than 20,000 people and his poster was well received.
