Congratulations to Gabriele on defending her thesis today!!! The first PhD graduate from our lab! She did an incredible job in the lab and leaves quite a legacy. So sad to see her go, but super excited that she found a great job at Ology Bioservices.

We recently received funding from NSF-BBSRC to start a 3-year collaborative project with Dominic Campopiano (University of Edinburgh) and Ziqiang Guan (Duke). Our SynBioSphinx project will study the mechanism of bacterial sphingolipid synthesis with the goal of developing a platform for in vitro sphingolipid production.
